Arctic Leaf Inc. | UX Design | Responsive Website

As UX Designer at Arctic Leaf, I led the end-to-end user experience for Ballymore's e-commerce rebuild, translating complex B2B needs into scalable user flows, and designing performance-focused interfaces that unified multiple brands and simplified buying for industrial customers.

The Challenge

Ballymore's B2B e-commerce platform was outdated, fragmented across brands, and slow to load, creating friction for industrial buyers and limiting scalability. The goal was to modernize the experience while unifying Ballymore, Tri-Arc, and Lift Products under one high-performance platform built for speed, clarity, and conversion.

Consultation & Ideation

We aligned business goals, buyer needs, and brand strategy with Ballymore's team, mapping B2B purchasing behaviours and applying Baymard-certified UX principles. This shaped a unified information architecture that preserved each brand's identity while sharing navigation, SEO strength, and platform efficiency, with a focus on simplifying quoting, improving product discovery, and supporting long-term growth. Product taxonomy was also a large part of discovery, which is working closely with the client to categorize and simplify the category setup.

Wireframing & Prototyping

We produced high-fidelity responsive wireframes across all core pages, assembled into an interactive Figma prototype. Custom homepage layouts funneled users toward key categories, with brand tabs enabling seamless switching. Mega menus, category pages, a ladder selector, PDPs, and Formstack-powered quote forms were all prototyped with B2B usability in mind, enabling fast iteration and stakeholder sign-off before development.

Final Results

The redesigned platform unified Ballymore, Tri-Arc, and Lift Products under a single scalable system while preserving individual brand identities. Industrial buyers gained clearer navigation, improved product discovery, and more intuitive paths to quotes, reducing friction across complex catalogs.

The new architecture also improved performance, strengthened SEO, and established a flexible foundation for long-term growth and business expansion.
