Loblaw Digital Hackathon - In Review

As a person with many interests, one of them being videography, creating videos has always been an interest which only in the last few years has started to gain greater traction in my work.

This video was created by myself for the 2016 Loblaw Digital Hackathon. The titles sequences at both the beginning and the end of the video were made by using Adobe Flash and Illustrator, whilst everything was edited inside Apple Final Cut Pro X.

Sennen Surf School Branding

Make belief is the best type of belief.

Lately I've been thinking to myself "I have so many ideas, how can I put them on paper?".

The best way I have came up with is to create an imaginary business then create a logo and branding for it. The above is for an imaginary 'surf school' called "Sennen Surf School" in the surf capital of the UK, Cornwall.

The keen eyed of you out there will notice that the quote is from Douglas Adams' classic 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' novel of the same name.

Bored of the same old type?

After some deliberation, I've decided that I really should polish up on my typography skills and make myself into the "full package" type of graphic designer... where would a graphic designer be without typography?

The "creation" you see to the left was designed and rendered in Blender 3D, then imported into Adobe Photoshop for curve and levels adjustments, Adobe Illustrator was used for adding type and finishing touches.

You will see more typography pieces in the coming days and weeks.

Stay tuned!
